Water supply project sees 2% completion
Around two per cent of work on the Chahan Dam water supply project has been completed.
The Chahan Dam water supply mega project is being funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and overseen by the Rawalpindi Water and Sanitation (Wasa).
It was revealed that the two per cent progress has been achieved within a month, including the intake chamber and mobilisation at the site.
The Chahan Dam project, estimated to cost Rs6.3 billion, will supply 12 million gallons of water daily and is expected to be completed in three years.
Additional projects have also commenced to address water shortages.
