Cold winds return as temperature drops by 2°C in Karachi
The city experienced a drop in temperature as icy winds returned, making the weather colder once again. The minimum temperature recorded was 11.5°C, marking a decrease of 2°C compared to the previous day.
During the night between Friday and Saturday, cold winds began sweeping through various parts of the city, resulting in a cooler morning on Saturday.
According to the Meteorological Department, different weather stations in the city recorded varying temperatures. The lowest temperature was recorded at Jinnah Terminal at 9.7°C, while Gulistan-e-Jauhar reported 12.3°C, Mauripur 12.5°C, and Shahrah-e-Faisal 14.5°C.
The Early Warning Center of the Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather in the coming days will remain dry, with cool nights. The minimum temperature is expected to range between 11°C and 13°C, while the maximum temperature is likely to be between 26°C and 28°C.
Furthermore, the Early Warning Center forecasts that winds will predominantly blow from the northeast in the coming days. Additionally, foggy conditions may develop in the central and upper districts of the region during morning hours.
