K-P Information Advisor expresses support for injured assistant commissioner
The Information Advisor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Dr. Saif, paid a visit to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar late on Thursday night.
He was accompanied by Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, and IG Police, Zulfiqar Hamid, Express News reported.
The delegation visited Assistant Commissioner Saeed Minan, who was wounded in a firing incident in the Kurram district, and expressed their well wishes for his swift recovery.
Assistant Commissioner Minan was injured earlier this week in an attack during a law enforcement operation in Kurram.
The local government and security officials have condemned the assault and extended their support to the injured officer.
Earlier, advisor to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information, Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, addressed a grand jirga at the Commissioner's Office in Kohat, reaffirming the government's commitment to restoring peace in Kurram district.
He emphasized that the ongoing conflict is not a religious or sectarian issue but a result of hatred.
Saif urged all stakeholders to recognize the devastating consequences of violence, highlighting that no external force is responsible for the loss of lives and property rather, it is internal divisions that have fueled this crisis.
He stressed that war and hatred only bring destruction and that genuine progress can only be achieved by setting aside hatred and embracing unity.
