Three sentenced to death in triple murder case
An Additional District and Sessions Judge of Gujar Khan on Friday delivered the verdict in a triple murder case, sentencing three criminals to death after proving their involvement in the crime.
The court also imposed a total fine of Rs1.5 million on them. The judgment stated that the criminals had committed a heinous act and ordered that they be hanged until death.
The three convicts – Imran, Kashif Munir, and Abdul Waheed – were found guilty of killing three individuals, Masood-ul-Hassan, Ghazanfar, and Asif Mehmood, in a brutal and indiscriminate shooting in July 2020, as part of a revenge attack.
Following the crime, the three suspects fled, but the police later apprehended them and recovered the weapons used in the murders. Post-mortem reports confirmed that the cause of death was gunshot wounds.
The court sentenced the three convicts to death and imposed a fine of Rs500,000 each. If the fine is not paid, they will serve an additional six months in prison. After the verdict, the accused were transferred from the Gujar Khan court to Adiala Jail.
