US woman ready to return, son labels her mentally unstable
A 33-year-old US woman, Onijah Andrew Robinson said she is ready to return after unsuccessful efforts to find love in Karachi. "I am currently short on money," says Robinson in a video interview. "I am ready to return to my country, and please provide me a ticket to New York," she added.
According to Express News, Robinson, an African-American woman, travelled to Pakistan in October, 2024, after falling in love with a 19-year-old boy from Karachi. She has been in the country ever since, claiming to be married to the Pakistani man, saying that their marriage took place online.
Earlier, a statement from the son of the woman who surfaced. In the statement, the son described his mother as mentally ill and claims that her ability to think and reason is impaired, leading to her mental state becoming unstable.
The son, who is currently in the US, stated that his mother is mentally unwell and her judgment is affected. He also mentioned that his mother had travelled to Pakistan to meet a man and his family and that she is planning to return to the US after two weeks. However, she failed to come back as planned.
He further stated that both he and his brother had made numerous attempts to convince their mother to return, even booking her return ticket. Despite their efforts, she refused to agree to come back, he added.
