Gladiators star Jet splits from wife Zoe Gilbert after just one year of marriage

Legendary Gladiators' star Jet has separated from her wife Zoe Gilbert after 18 months together, including a year of marriage.

The former Nineties icon, 54, whose real name is Diane Youdale, exchanged vows with Zoe in an intimate ceremony in July 2023 after meeting her partner at a supermarket. 

However, sources indicate that the couple has now ended their short-lived marriage, which followed Diane’s proposal just four months into their relationship, MailOnline reported.

The former TV personality previously expressed how she "just knew" Zoe was the right person for her, as they spent their time together laughing, stating, "I think you know if you want to be with somebody."

Jet’s relationship with Zoe was her first publicly acknowledged romance with a woman after coming out shortly before they made their commitment official.  

She gained fame as one of the standout stars of Gladiators, featuring prominently in the show's first four seasons from 1992 to 1995 and playing a key role in its success.  

A source close to the couple shared, "Diane and Zoe just realised it wasn't to be. They didn't see any point carrying on so decided to end their relationship."

"It's sad, especially as they were only married for a year, but they just weren't getting on."

"On reflection, they may have rushed into making their commitment official but there's no regrets or hard feelings between them."

A neighbor near Zoe’s residence told MailOnline on Friday that Jet had not been seen at the property for months.  

They commented, "It's a shame that their relationship was so brief, Diane hasn't lived here for quite some time."

Zoe, who works as an educator in the prison service, has also updated her relationship status on Facebook to "single."  

The couple tied the knot in the summer of 2023, with only nine close friends and family members present at the ceremony.  

Following their wedding, they planned to continue celebrating in a low-key manner with a mini-moon in Northumbria, as well as traveling to visit friends who were unable to attend their nuptials.
