NBA All Star 2025 reserves revealed, introduces new 4-team mini-tournament

NBA reveals 2025 All-Star reserves, introducing a four-team mini-tournament format airing Feb. 16 on TNT.

Seven players from each conference have been selected by NBA head coaches as reserves for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, set for Feb. 16 at Chase Center in San Francisco.

The game will introduce a four-team, three-game mini-tournament, airing at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.

NBA head coaches selected the reserves, voting for two guards, three frontcourt players, and two additional players from their conference.

Coaches could not vote for players from their own team. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will choose replacements for any unavailable players.

The Eastern Conference reserves are Damian Lillard (Bucks), Darius Garland (Cavaliers), Jaylen Brown (Celtics), Cade Cunningham (Pistons), Tyler Herro (Heat), Evan Mobley (Cavaliers), and Pascal Siakam (Pacers).

The Western Conference reserves are Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Anthony Davis (Lakers), James Harden (Clippers), Jaren Jackson Jr. (Grizzlies), Alperen Sengun (Rockets), Jalen Williams (Thunder), and Victor Wembanyama (Spurs).

For the first time, the All-Star Game will feature a four-team mini-tournament. Two semifinal games will determine the final matchup, with each game won by the first team to reach 40 points.

Each team will have eight players, named after TNT analysts Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith, who will draft rosters live on Feb. 6.

The fourth team will consist of the Castrol Rising Stars champion, led by honorary GM Candace Parker.

The five All-Star starters in each conference were selected through voting by fans (50%), players (25%), and media (25%). The four teams will compete for a $1.8 million prize pool, with players on the winning team receiving $125,000 each.
