Two held for murdering watchman

The suspects confessed to killing Samejo because he tried to stop them from breaking into the empty house

HYDERABAD:

A newly appointed watchman in a bungalow in Latifabad, was brutally murdered allegedly for resisting a house robbery on January 19.

The city police claimed that two suspects, Faizan and Arsalan, have been arrested in connection with the murder of 28-year-old Ali Nawaz Samejo on Thursday.

The suspects confessed to killing Samejo because he tried to stop them from breaking into the empty house whose owners were in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

Police recovered Samejo's mobile phone from their possession. Incident's FIR has been lodged at A-Section police station on the complaint of victim's brother, Shaukat Ali Samejo.

Surprisingly, the police disclosed that the robbers returned empty handed except for meagre cash and Samejo's mobile phone whose body was found tied against a charpoy with a nylon rope.
