Bidadoo employee April Martinson fired after calling immigrants ‘sub-human’

April Martinson was terminated by Bidadoo after making inflammatory comments on TikTok about deportation.

April Martinson, a former employee at Bidadoo, a global remarketing company based in Kent, Washington, was fired on Tuesday after making offensive comments online.

Martinson's remarks, posted on her TikTok account @hot_take_melody, referred to immigrants as "subhumans," sparking significant backlash on social media.

In the viral video, Martinson expressed a lack of sympathy for families impacted by deportations, stating, “I don’t give two sh*ts that families are being separated… I find you guys to be subhumans.” She further compared this situation to the treatment of individuals involved in the January 6th Capitol riots, which only intensified the controversy. Her comments quickly gained attention, leading to her being doxed as a Bidadoo employee.

As the video spread, social media users shared it and tagged Bidadoo on X (formerly Twitter), calling for the company to take action. In response, Bidadoo issued a public statement condemning Martinson’s views. “At Bidadoo, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of professionalism,” the company said. “The personal views expressed on an individual’s social media were deeply offensive and do not reflect our values as a company.”

The statement also confirmed that Martinson had been fired and that the incident was reported to both the police and FBI for further investigation.

Bidadoo, known for its global remarketing services on eBay, reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive environment. The company also expressed gratitude to its community for their understanding and support during the situation.

Following the backlash, Martinson’s TikTok and X accounts were deleted.
