LAHORE:

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has directed its district organisations in Punjab to complete the reorganisation process down to the union council and ward levels within two months.

A meeting was chaired by PTI Central Punjab President Muhammad Ahmed Chatha and General Secretary Rana Bilal Ijaz on Tuesday to outline plans for restructuring party reorganisation across the province.

Addressing the participants, then leaders alleged state institutions were being used to suppress the PTI. They expressed concern over inflation, lawlessness and baseless cases against political workers.

They said the common people were suffering due to rising inflation and unemployment, and were looking towards PTI founder Imran Khan and his party for relief.

They said it was time to involve the public in a movement, urging all district organisations and election ticket holders to intensify public engagement and expedite organisational efforts at the grassroots level.

The leaders instructed the district office-bearers to share progress reports every 15 days regarding the reorganisaton.

The meeting was attended by PTI district presidents, ticket holders and assembly members from Sheikhupura, Mandi Bahauddin, Nankana and Gujrat along with Punjab Chief Organiser Alia Hamza, Central Punjab Senior Vice President Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokar and others.
