In a disciplinary action, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has dismissed 13 officials for alleged negligence and dereliction of duty linked to the 2024 Greek boat tragedy.
The officials include 1 inspector, 2 sub-inspectors, 2 head constables and 8 constables.
Moreover, promotions of three constables have been halted as part of the internal accountability process.
According to FIA Director General Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir, strict action is being taken against FIA officials involved in illegal activities. "Officials exploiting innocent citizens are not entitled to any leniency," he asserted.
