A$AP Twelvyy’s refusal to meet prosecutors jeopardizes credibility in A$AP Rocky trial

In a dramatic turn during A$AP Rocky’s ongoing trial, A$AP Twelvyy refused to cooperate with prosecutors, potentially undermining his credibility with jurors. 

Twelvyy’s decision to reject a prosecution interview on January 28 could have significant consequences, especially as the trial continues over a November 2021 altercation in Hollywood between A$AP Rocky and fellow rapper A$AP Relli. The prosecution had sought to interview Twelvyy to better understand his potential testimony before he takes the stand.

The judge, Mark Arnold, informed Twelvyy of the possible impact his refusal could have on the jury’s perception of his reliability. In response, Twelvyy acknowledged the risk, affirming his decision not to participate.

Twelvyy’s testimony is critical in supporting A$AP Rocky’s defense, as he was reportedly trying to de-escalate the incident that allegedly involved a firearm. Despite authorities' claims, Twelvyy is expected to testify that the weapon in question was a “prop gun.” With A$AP Rocky facing two felony assault charges, including the use of a semiautomatic firearm, Twelvyy’s testimony could play a key role in the defense's case.
