The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has released a list of 9,762 employees recruited across various departments during the caretaker government.
The provincial government had previously declared these appointments illegal and passed legislation through the Assembly to terminate them. According to the list, the highest number of recruitments4,019occurred in the police department, followed by 2,345 in the education department.
During this time, recruitments were also made in the Assembly, C&W, prisons, finance, and health departments.
In addition, 192 were recruited in the local government department, 159 in the prisons department, 702 in the higher education department, 693 in the health department, 120 in the communication and works department, and 175 in animal husbandry and agriculture.
In addition, 339 people were recruited in the Administration of Justice Department, 188 in the Irrigation Department, and 112 in the Social Welfare Department.
Over 137 were recruited in the Public Health Department, and 137 in the Labour Department, Home Department, Industries, and Fisheries.
Last week the government decided to dismiss what it claimed more than 16,000 government employees recruited by the caretaker government.
A draft law in this regard was tabled in the provincial assembly.
The provincial government had decided to dismiss government employees recruited during caretaker government and provincial cabinet approved the decision and assigned the responsibility of collecting details of recruitments from all departments to law minister.
The House was informed that up to 8,000 recruitments have been identified in details provided by various departments, including police and health departments.
