Jake Paul and Logan Paul announce boxing match set for March

Unprecedented bout between siblings sparked comparisons to legendary boxing families like Klitschkos, Spinks brothers.

Jake and Logan Paul, the brothers who rose to fame through YouTube before turning to boxing, have announced plans to face each other in the ring on March 27. The fight will stream live on Max, according to a post by Jake Paul on X.

This unprecedented bout between siblings has sparked comparisons to legendary boxing families like the Klitschkos and Spinks brothers, who famously vowed never to fight each other. "We don't want to break our mother's heart," Wladimir Klitschko once said.

The announcement comes shortly after both Paul brothers attended Donald Trump’s inauguration event alongside MMA star Conor McGregor.

McGregor, who had been in talks to fight Logan in India, claimed the plan fell apart due to opposition from the UFC. "The UFC executives just weren’t into it," McGregor told The Schmo, despite a proposed $250 million payout.

Jake Paul, currently 11-1 in his professional boxing career, is fresh off a victory against UFC legend Nate Diaz, though his earlier bouts, including a loss to Tommy Fury, have drawn criticism for lacking competitive depth.

Logan Paul, 29, has a more modest record, with his most notable fights being an exhibition against Floyd Mayweather and a win over Dillon Danis.

The fight, scheduled weeks before WrestleMania, raises questions about Logan’s potential participation in the WWE event. It remains unclear if WWE has any concerns regarding his involvement in the boxing match.

Fans have shown mixed reactions online, with many criticising the fight as a publicity stunt. “Is this a joke?” one fan asked on X, while another wrote, “You should not fight your brother for clout. That’s your family.”

While sibling boxing matches are rare, the Paul brothers aim to continue their controversial influence on the sport. Despite fan backlash, the fight is expected to draw significant viewership, similar to Logan's exhibition bout with Mike Tyson, which reportedly reached over 60 million households worldwide.
