50 Cent has dismissed a recent assault lawsuit as a clear attempt to extort money, calling the allegations a "shakedown."

The lawsuit, filed by photographer Guadalupe De Los Santos, claims the rapper's team assaulted him during a book signing at The Grove in Los Angeles on September 11, 2024. De Los Santos alleges that while he was stopped at a red light on his electric scooter, a member of 50 Cent's team struck him with a car door after he had been filming the rapper.

The photographer claims his injuries have caused mounting medical bills and forced him to miss work, resulting in lost income. He is seeking damages in the lawsuit, which is being handled by prominent attorney Gloria Allred.

In response, Curtis James Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, and at 49 years old, mocked the lawsuit on social media. He posted an old photo of himself with Allred and called her an "ambulance chaser."

50 Cent added in the caption, “Gloria you should know better, chase a different ambulance.” He also joked about taking Allred to dinner instead of paying any damages.

50 Cent’s legal team issued a statement rejecting the claims, stating that the rapper had not been served with any formal lawsuit. They emphasized that 50 Cent was not alleged to have been involved in the incident, nor was he accused of opening the car door. His attorneys indicated they would seek to dismiss the claim and pursue legal costs if the lawsuit proceeds.
