A model police station, built on modern lines in Defence area, was inaugurated on Sunday.
Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho, DIG South Syed Asad Raza, SSP South Mehmood Ali, other police officers, famous singer and social leader Shehzad Roy, representatives of civil society, and government schools attended the opening ceremony.
Speaking at the event, additional IG said, "We aim to improve the culture of police stations so that citizens feel no fear or difficulty when visiting there."
He also expressed gratitude to Shehzad Roy for his support. Renowned singer and social activists said that, children are taught at global level, that a policeman is his best friend.
