The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has summoned additional witnesses to appear by February 13 in the ongoing trial against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Dr Yasmeen Rashid, and others.
The case pertains to the May 9 riots following the arrest of PTI chairman Imran Khan.
The accused are charged with inciting violence, creating unrest, and orchestrating arson and anarchy at Sherpao Bridge during the chaotic events of that day.
During the jail trial proceedings, presided over by the ATC judge, statements from four prosecution witnesses were recorded.
The court has now scheduled further witness testimony for February 13 as part of its efforts to conclude the case.
In addition to this, the ATC judge heard several other cases related to the May 9 riots.
