Vicky Pattison discovers deepfake video of herself in documentary on online abuse
Reality star Vicky Pattison was left stunned after uncovering grim deepfakes of herself while investigating the impact of online image-based abuse.
The Geordie Shore star has been working on a Channel 4 documentary, 'Vicky Pattison: My Deepfake Sex Tape', where she explores the troubling rise of deepfake porn and its harmful effects on women and girls.
As part of the investigation, Vicky took the bold step of creating a fake sex video to fully immerse herself in the world of deepfakes and understand the violation victims experience. She admits she "wrestled with the decision" but accepted that the video could remain online indefinitely.
However, while researching, Vicky discovered that she was already a victim of genuine image-based sexual abuse. She shared her shock in the documentary, revealing that she was unaware of certain explicit content featuring her, which was not AI-generated but still deeply disturbing.
