Culinary academy hosts flavoured rice show

Traditional Sindhi biryani, Bombay biryani, chicken Manchurian and Singaporean rice were also featured

The first international flavoured rice show was held at Bahadurabad's Chocolate Academy in which 20 female chefs prepared over 30 rice dishes in traditional and innovative styles.

The event featured a variety of dishes made from basmati and sela brands, including traditional chicken and beef biryani, pulao, egg chicken rice, gola kabab rice, fish pulao, and South Indian rice, as well as rice desserts such as kheer and gajrela.

Traditional Sindhi biryani, Bombay biryani, chicken Manchurian and Singaporean rice were also featured at the culinary show.

It may be mentioned that the use of rice in new and innovative ways is common worldwide, and its consumption is increasing rapidly, especially in European countries.

In Pakistan and other Asian countries, rice is a staple food, and its use in sweet dishes is also common. The consumption of rice-based products is also increasing globally. Many people in Gulf and European countries appreciate Pakistani biryani.

The event aimed to promote creativity, skills, and cultural cuisine in the culinary world, as well as experiment with new rice-based dishes. Organisers believed that sharing these experiments would yield beneficial results.
