100 arrested, 15 injured at PTI rally

Around 15 people were injured by police batton charge

NAWABSHAH:

Police arrested at least 100 activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) who had staged a rally against the conviction of Imran Khan at Shiraz Chowk on Friday.

Around 15 people were injured by police batton charge, PTI leader Gul Muhammad Rind said adding that police arrested party members including PTI Divisional President Inayat Rind, MNA Attaullah, MPA Saeed Afridi, Nadia Rabbani.

The after passing through different routes of the city was coming towards Nawabshah Press Club where a heavy police force was deployed.

A large number of policewomen were also present. Police blocked all the routes leading to Nawabshah Press Club by placing police mobiles. However, the rally participants managed to reach Shiraz Chowk. Inayat Rind, MNA Attaullah from Karachi, MPA Saeed Afridi, Nadia Rabbani and other leaders of PTI addressed the participants of the rally outside the press club.
