Jordana Brewster opened up about the dynamic among the Fast & Furious cast during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.

The actress, 44, touched on Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson’s rumored feud, saying, “Families are also dysfunctional, and we’ve got the drama.”

The longstanding tension between Diesel, 57, and Johnson, 52, dates back to 2016 when Johnson made a now-deleted Instagram post seemingly calling out unnamed costars while filming The Fate of the Furious. Johnson stepped away from the franchise in 2021 but surprised fans with a cameo in 2023’s Fast X, hinting at a potential return in the next installment.

At the Golden Globes earlier this month, Diesel made headlines when he publicly acknowledged Johnson, sparking hope for reconciliation. Diesel later shared a throwback photo of the two on Instagram, captioned, “All love… Always…”

Reflecting on Diesel’s creative role in the franchise, Brewster noted, “Vin’s so invested in the franchise and so creative that things are always bubbling up. It’s wonderful to see how things evolve.”

In a separate Instagram post, Diesel confirmed that production for Fast X: Part 2 would return to Los Angeles. “Los Angeles is where Fast and Furious started filming 25 years ago… and now Fast will finally return home,” he wrote, adding that this move is intended to support the city after recent wildfires.

The release date for Fast X: Part 2 has yet to be announced, but fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the beloved franchise.
