UC offices burgled; laptops, records missing
Unidentified burglars stole laptops, cash, and sensitive government records from the Union Council (UC) office in the Lines area. The incident took place on the night between Wednesday and Thursday when the criminals broke the locks of UC 9 and 11 and stole laptops, approximately Rs70,000 in cash, and government 10-year records and escaped.
The police reached the location and summoned the crime scene unit who gathered the evidence and handed it to the police.
The police have revealed that no CCTV cameras were installed within the UC offices. Efforts on to acquire footage from cameras in the area.
Authorities are working to ascertain the specific government documents that were stolen. An investigation is underway.
