Faisal Kapadia meets Lucky Ali in Dubai
Strings alum Faisal Kapadia recently shared a photo on Instagram featuring Indian singer Lucky Ali. The two artists crossed paths while in Dubai.
"Always been a huge admirer of Lucky Ali's music - it's pure magic! We'd crossed paths briefly a couple of times in the past, but this time, we finally got to [sit down comfortably] and dive into some truly soulful gup-shup (chatter). Had a lot of fun!" the Pakistani singer gushed in the caption.
Fans were delighted to witness this crossover episode between the two singers. "Create a song, a masterpiece together! The present generation of musicians lack the depth you two have in your music and in your voice," a user insisted. "Two singing maestros and legends," another remarked, sharing the sentiment with many who were in awe of the post.
On work front, Kapadia has been promoting his LP Zindagi Jahaan Le Jaaye, which he announced is available in Pakistan, India, and UAE.
The Hum Na Rahay singer announced his debut album in early 2024. Gracing the album's cover in a black and white self candid, Kapadia took to his Instagram handle with a heartfelt video message following the record's release on all streaming platforms on February 2. "I am super excited. Finally, Zindagi Jahaan Le Jaaye is out and all yours," he announced.
He urged his audience to approach the album as a whole, stressing the track listing as a deliberate sequence for a more immersive experience. "I put a lot of thought into the track listing. I know in the digital age, you can go and click whatever song you want but I will request you to listen to it from track 1 to track 8 and just enjoy the feel of the album. This album is yours. Zindagi Jahaan Le Jaaye."
Meanwhile, Ali, who is known for hits such as O Sanam and Na Tum Jano Na Hum, voiced his support for Palestine last year. In a video clip circulating on Instagram and X, he directly expressed his solidarity while addressing a large audience during a concert in Dubai. "What I want to say is that there can only be one state, I agree with Netanyahu on that. But it has to be Palestine," Ali made a forthright statement, denouncing Israel.
As seen in the viral clip, the artist's response was met with cheers and applause. Much to the crowd's delight, Ali went on to repeat his remark and unambiguously declared, "We can all live together but the state has to be Palestine."
