A live television debate turned chaotic when leaders from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) clashed, trading punches and kicks during the broadcast.
The confrontation occurred between PTI’s Naeem Haider Panjotha and PML-N’s Ikhtiar Wali Khan on a private TV channel’s political talk show.
Videos of the brawl have gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention.
The altercation began with an exchange of harsh words and accusations.
As tensions escalated, both leaders engaged in a physical fight, grabbing each other’s collars and landing blows, as seen in the widely circulated footage.
Despite repeated attempts by the show’s host to defuse the situation, the fight continued until the production crew intervened.
This is not the first instance of political leaders in Pakistan resorting to violence during live debates. In previous incidents, PML-N Senator Afnan Ullah and PTI MNA Sher Afzal Marwat, as well as PTI’s now deceased Naeem-ul-Haq and PML-N’s Daniyal Aziz, were involved in on-air altercations.
Social media users have reacted strongly to the incident, with many criticising the lack of decorum and professionalism displayed by the politicians.
