Virat Kohli faces backlash for ignoring Indian soldier’s selfie request

In a viral video, Kohli ignores a soldier in Mumbai who approaches him with a phone, seemingly for a selfie.

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has come under severe criticism after a video surfaced on social media, showing him allegedly ignoring an Indian Army soldier who had approached him for a selfie.

The video, which went viral on social media, shows Kohli walking from a vehicle in Mumbai when a soldier, holding a phone, approached him in an apparent attempt to take a photo.

Kohli, however, appears to disregard the soldier and continues walking without acknowledging him.

Following the video's circulation, social media users accused Kohli of deliberately refusing to take a selfie with the soldier, condemning his behavior as disrespectful.

One user pointed out that, in his 24-year career, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar would never have behaved in such a manner, nor would Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, or Sourav Ganguly.

Another user expressed disappointment, stating that cricketers or athletes who behave like this cannot be role models.

In the midst of this controversy, reports also revealed that Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, recently shifted to their new villa in Alibaug.

The couple was spotted boarding a ferry to Alibaug from the Gateway of India, sparking speculation among fans that they might have permanently relocated to their new home.
