Barack Obama reportedly asked George W. Bush how they could "stop what's happening" during Trump's inauguration, according to a lip reader.

Jackie Gonzalez, a deaf woman who shares interpretations of public figures' private conversations, posted a now-viral video explaining her read of the exchange between the two former presidents during Trump's inauguration.

The moment between Obama and Bush, caught on video as they shared a laugh, quickly gained attention online, with many wondering about their conversation.

Gonzalez's lip reading suggests that after Obama greeted Bush, he asked, “How can we stop what’s happening.”

Bush responded with a sly grin, seemingly amused by Obama's remark.

It remains unclear whether Obama was referring to President Trump’s second term or the applause that followed.

Gonzalez, who offers a disclaimer about the unreliability of lip reading, noted that all statements are “alleged.”

Despite the uncertainty, Gonzalez's followers were entertained by the interpretation, with the video receiving tens of thousands of likes and comments.

One user joked, "If only they would have had a split screen on the former presidents the entire time."
