US constitution left out of Trump’s updated White House website

Revamp omits key pages on US history, equity, former presidents and Spanish-language version of website.

President Donald Trump’s team has overhauled the White House website, removing key historical pages that have traditionally detailed the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and information about former US presidents.

The revamped site now features a bold message: “AMERICA IS BACK,” accompanied by a silhouette of Trump.

New links to presidential statements and executive orders have been added, but many visitors were quick to notice the absence of crucial content.

Notably, pages that once explained the foundational documents of the United States or promoted tourism, equity, and internship opportunities have gone missing.

Visitors to the website attempting to access bio pages for former US presidents—ranging from Republican figures like Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan to Democratic leaders such as Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton—encountered error messages.

The issue also affected Spanish-language versions of the site, where users were greeted with a 404 error, indicating that the page could not be found.

White House officials have acknowledged the issue, attributing it to an ongoing website update.

Principal White House deputy press secretary Harrison Fields addressed the situation, saying, “It’s day two. We are in the process of developing, editing, and tweaking the White House website.

As part of this ongoing work, some of the archived content on the website went dormant. We are committed to reloading that content in a short timeline.”

The administration has assured the public that both the Spanish-language section of the website and the missing historical content will be restored soon.

When President Trump took office in 2017, his team similarly removed pages related to LGBTQ+ rights and climate change as part of a broader “cleaning house” effort.

However, it was not until now that a large swath of historical material, including information on former presidents and U.S. constitutional principles, was temporarily removed.

A copy of President Biden's website, along with archives from previous administrations, remains available for public access. This is the first time the White House has issued such an overhaul since Trump’s return to the presidency.

White House officials have asked for patience during this transition period as they continue to update the site and bring back previously missing content.
