New Diddy documentary explores sex trafficking charges and racketeering trial details
A new documentary on music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is reportedly in development by Channel 4, in collaboration with Lion TV.
Titled Diddy: In Plain Sight, the program will explore the charges against Combs, including sex trafficking and racketeering, as he awaits trial in a New York detention facility. Set to air later this year, the show will feature testimonies from individuals connected to the case and delve into the rapper’s rise to fame, his notorious White Parties, and the alleged crimes he faces.
Combs, who was arrested on September 16, 2024, has been incarcerated since then, with bail denied by three different judges. The charges, which stem from a federal indictment, accuse him of racketeering and sex trafficking, with investigators reportedly discovering large quantities of baby oil and lubricant during raids on his Miami and Los Angeles properties. Combs faces life in prison if convicted of racketeering. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
This documentary follows similar projects by other platforms, including Netflix’s Diddy Do It?, HBO’s The Fall of Diddy, and Peacock’s The Making of a Bad Boy. The Channel 4 documentary is expected to provide deeper insights into the allegations and Combs’ career, potentially revealing new details about his personal and professional life. The rapper’s trial is set for May 5, 2025.
In addition to the Channel 4 project, other media outlets like TMZ have also covered Combs' legal troubles, further fueling public interest in the case.
