Moot on 'Translation as a Science' held
Fakhruddin Akhunzada, was the guest of honour.
ISLAMABAD:
The inaugural ceremony of a five-day training workshop on the theme "Translation as a Science" was held at the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU). Participants from 12 different languages are receiving training in translation during this workshop.
The event has been organized by the university's Centre for English Language and Translation Studies in collaboration with the Forum for Language Initiatives.
The Executive Director of the Forum for Language Initiatives, Fakhruddin Akhunzada, was the guest of honour, while the event was presided over by the Dean of the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Prof.Shah Mohyuddin Hashmi.
