KALLAR SYEDAN:

The traffic wardens in Kallar Syedan have been criticised for their failure to effectively manage traffic. Rather than focusing on regulating traffic flow, they are often seen standing at corners and issuing fines.

Citizens have expressed frustration, stating that a journey that should take just two minutes—from Mureed Chowk to the cemetery on Pindi Road—often takes over an hour due to heavy congestion.

Residents highlighted that key areas such as Mureed Chowk, Choa Road, Pindi Road, and Gujar Khan Road are frequently gridlocked, making traffic jams a common occurrence. Many also face difficulties due to the improper parking of private school vans, which further exacerbates the situation.

The performance of the traffic wardens has been called into question, with some roads not being cleared even within a half-kilometre stretch. There are growing concerns about the appointment of such officers, and demands for immediate changes have been made.

Traders, particularly on Choa Road, have also raised concerns about long lines of rickshaws blocking access, making it difficult for customers from other cities to park and shop.
