Health threat: Flooded rainwater poses danger to stored medicines
Karachi's EDO health says the stored medicines were safe because rainwater did not enter the warehouse building.

After the monsoon showers rainwater entered the Inspection and Import (I&I) Depot of health department, threatening to ruin medicines worth millions stocked there.
The I&I Depot comprises cold storage of children vaccines, stores of TB Control Programme, medicine store of City District Government Karachi and stores of World Health Organisation, Drug Control, Sindh AIDS Control and other organisations. Karachi’s EDO health Dr Nasir Javed said the stored medicines were safe because rainwater did not enter the warehouse building.
