KARACHI:

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has vowed to champion the rights of Balochistan in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Islamabad, pledging to address the province's grievances and secure relief for its people.

He asserted that the JI would try its level best to get some relief for the people of Balochistan and redress their grievances.

Speaking at a seminar titled "The Burning Issues of Balochistan and Their Solutions" at the Karachi Press Club, the JI emir called on the government and establishment to revise their approach toward Balochistan, stressing the immediate need to recover missing persons.

He urged the government to respect the disgruntled people of Balochistan, saying the Baloch people would prove to be more patriotic than anyone else in the country if given the chance and respect.

He stressed that oppression and force cannot earn respect or resolve the issues.

"Give the people of Balochistan their due rights and within three months they will be defending the borders," he added.

Addressing those in the corridors of power, he urged, "If you want to resolve the issues, you will have to talk to the genuine leadership of the province, not with Form 47 leadership".
