Sindh to introduce transgender education policy

Sindh is setting a new example in the country by initiating a revolutionary change for the transgender community in the field of education.

Chief Minister Sindh has directed the Education Department to develop province's first-ever Transgender Education Policy.

The govt spokesperson said that in the past the provincial government had approved job quota for transgender individuals under the Sindh Civil Servants Amendment Act that allows transgender community to secure government jobs, both on merit and through the reserved quota.
