Bahria College wins BB Shaheed SSB Cup
Karachi's renowned team, Bahria College Karsaz, beat Ballistic Balls by 10-6 to win the final and claim the title of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed SSB Cup Girls Basketball Tournament, held at the International Abdul Nasser Court, Aram Bagh.
In the final, Raheema Irfan scored 6 points, Rumaysha scored 2 and Kanza Ali contributed 2 points for the winning team. From the runner-ups, Fatima Idris scored 4 points, and Umaima Baig scored 2 points.
The match was held under the patronage of Sindh Government's Secretary of Sports, Abdul Aleem Lashari, and under the supervision of Section Officer A.D. Gopang and DSO South Fareed Ali from the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Kanza Ali was named the Best Player of the Tournament, while Raheema Irfan was declared the Best Player of the Final. On this occasion, the DPE of Bahria College and Vice President of the Karachi Basketball Association, Nusrat Afzal, distributed the prizes on behalf of the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Sindh. Also present at the event were Zaima Khatoon, Talat Idris and others.
Referees and technical officials for the final included Rosa Turner, Kishwar Kumari Noor Jahan, Manahil Khan, and Ayesha Khan. The Chairperson of the tournament's organizing committee, Begum Ismaili Shah, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sindh Secretary of Sports Abdul Aleem Lashari and expressed hope that the Sindh Government's Department of Sports would continue to play a vital role in promoting girls' basketball.
