Netflix has officially confirmed the release date for the fifth and final season of You, sending fans into a frenzy.
Alongside a chilling video recapping Joe Goldberg's (Penn Badgley) horrific actions, the streaming platform revealed that the last episodes will be available on April 24.
In the teaser, Joe bids farewell to 'you' with a sinister voiceover.
"Do you remember me?" he asks. "Because I remember you. Here we are together again, back to where it began."
"A lot has happened these many years together: identities, cities, loves, complications."
"But all that led me here, to now, to where I was always meant to be."
"And the one constant, the one thing that's always been there for me is you. You who have been there the whole time and will be with me until the end."
"Goodbye, you."
Netflix also called the final season 'a killer finale.'
"In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires," the official synopsis teases.
Fans of *You* are eagerly awaiting the upcoming episodes and are hoping Joe will finally face the consequences.
'It's been so long, give me YOU immediately!' wrote one fan.
Another excited viewer shared: 'HELL YEAH! I GOTTA RENEW MY SUBSCRIPTION FASTER THAN I THOUGHT! I am so excited oh my God!'
'I'm ready for him to get caught,' said a third.
A fourth joked: 'The only toxic person I'm looking forward to this spring.'
In March 2023, Netflix announced that *You* would conclude with its fifth and final season.
In the fourth season, Joe faced retribution from a vengeful serial killer while trying to maintain a low profile under a new identity.
Having killed 10 people in the previous seasons, he found his past catching up with him in the form of the 'Eat the Rich Killer' in London.
After relocating to the UK and starting a new life as Professor Jonathan Moore, Joe dealt with a fresh heartbreak that he ominously referred to as the "catalyst for a new path."
