TikToker DKane reportedly arrested in Texas for carrying firearm with switch in San Antonio

DKane, a 20-year-old TikTok influencer, was reportedly arrested on January 13, 2025, for carrying a firearm equipped with a switch. The incident took place while he was dining with fellow TikTok personality Ash Trevino at a cafe in San Antonio, Texas, and police apprehended him during the meal.

For those unfamiliar, a switch is a device that converts a semi-automatic firearm into a fully automatic one. As reported by ABC News in June 2024, the availability of switches led to a surge in gun violence in the U.S., with a 570% increase in switch seizures from 2017 to 2021.

DKane is a TikTok star with 1.7 million followers. He gained popularity for his lip-syncing videos, which may face restrictions as TikTok is poised for a possible ban in the U.S. starting January 19, 2025.

Known by the username dkaneee, DKane is also a tattoo artist and online content creator who gained widespread attention in October 2023 when one of his lip-syncing videos went viral, reaching over a million views.

His fame on TikTok grew quickly, amassing more than 1.7 million followers and 4.8 million likes on his videos. He also boasts 216K followers on Instagram.

According to My San Antonio, the TikTok star’s real name is Josiah Kane De La Fuente. Born on March 30, 2004, he is easily recognizable due to his extensive body and face tattoos.

Details about his personal life remain limited, but in an August 2024 YouTube video with Jr Stuber, he shared the news that he was expecting a child.

As reported by Corpus Christi Crónica’s Facebook post, DKane and Ash Trevino were enjoying a meal at a cafe when a woman allegedly approached them and began arguing with Trevino. The situation escalated quickly, prompting the arrival of police officers at the scene.
