SHC stays action against FIA officers till 30th

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued notices to the interior secretary and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) director general while hearing a petition challenging an ongoing inquiry against some FIA officers in connection with the Greece boat tragedy

The SHC on Thursday conducted a hearing on the plea of FIA Assistant Director Wasi Ullah Bhatti. The court later barred the authorities from taking any action against the petitioner and others till January 30.

The FIA is conducting an inquiry against its Deputy Director Ali Murad and two assistant directors—Rashid Bhatto and Wasi Ullah Bhatti.
