Action ordered against medics drawing double salaries

Balochistan Health Department has decided to take action against 36 medical officers, 29 lady medical officers and nine dental surgeons for receiving double salaries.

This decision includes members of the Young Doctors Association, confirmed Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind.

The department has released a list of doctors involved in financial irregularities, with evidence of their misconduct.

According to Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, FIRs will be registered against those found guilty of corruption.

"We will ensure strict punishment for corrupt individuals to safeguard the integrity of this noble profession," said the health minister. He added that details of contract doctors hired by international organizations were being sought.
