"Free Luigi!": Bill Burr supports Luigi Mangione and slams insurance companies amid L.A. fires
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently, actor and comedian, Bill Burr launched into a tirade about insurance companies' handling of the Los Angeles wildfires and called for the release of Luigi Mangione who is accused in the case of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's murder.
Although Burr revealed that he had to evacuate his house after the fires got to close to his place, his criticism was targeted toward internet trolls who complained about the fires being "mismanaged".
“Mismanaged? Like some idiot on the internet knows how to manage the worst fire in LA? Sitting there in his underwear?” he stated, before adding that "CNN and Fox News are not going to bring up the insurance companies that are just gonna keep everybody’s premiums and still give themselves a bonus,” as the audience erupted into cheers.

“Yes! Free Luigi!” he exclaimed, referencing Luigi Mangione, who has pleaded not guilty to the murder.
The Breaking Bad actor has been vocal with his support for Mangione in past instances too.
“The funny thing when that CEO got whacked was watching CEOs have to be uncomfortable,” Burr mentioned in an interview with Variety.
Burr also condemned the media in an episode of his podcast called Anything Better?
“They’re gangsters dude, f—ing gangsters, and then when one of them gets whacked or something they’re like, ‘Oh my god he was such a good guy,’” he said of CEOs in the healthcare industry, which he labeled “dirty game.”
Recently, home insurance companies dropped thousands of LA homeowners days before the Palisades and Eaton fires erupted, which served as the catalyst for Burr's anger.
