CCTV footage from Saif Ali Khan's Bandra home revealed no intruder entering within two hours before the attack, suggesting the assailant had entered earlier and hidden inside, waiting to strike.

The attack occurred post-midnight, around 2:30 AM, with police sources confirming that no one was seen entering after midnight. They suspect the intruder had hidden inside the residence before the incident. suggesting the possibility of the intrusion being an inside job.

Mumbai police continue to review footage to identify the attacker, who fled after stabbing the 54-year-old actor six times during a scuffle. 

The high-profile assault in Bandra, a neighborhood known for housing many celebrities, has posed a challenge for the Mumbai Police. In a statement, they said, "An unidentified person intruded in the residence of Actor Saif Ali Khan. The actor and the intruder had a scuffle. The actor is injured and is being treated. Investigation is going on."
