Rohit Sharma likely to visit Pakistan
Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma is reportedly expected to visit Pakistan ahead of the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 next month.
According to Indian media reports on Monday, this visit would mark a historic moment, as it's been years since an Indian cricketer travelled to Pakistan for an international event.
The event will include an all-captains photo shoot and a press conference where skippers will share their expectations for the tournament.
For the Champions Trophy 2025, all eight participating captains are scheduled to take part in this event organised by the ICC.
However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet issued an official statement regarding Sharma's visit to Pakistan. Moreover, the Indian team is yet to announce its squad for the tournament.
Team India is currently preparing for their upcoming white-ball series against England.
The Rohit Sharma-led side is set to play three ODIs against England before the Champions Trophy.
The eight-team tournament will take place from February 19 to March 9, spanning three Pakistan venuesKarachi, Lahore and Rawalpindiand Dubai.
The tournament features 15 matches, with the participating teams divided into two groups:
Group A: Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Bangladesh
Group B: Afghanistan, South Africa, England and Australia
Hosts Pakistan will face New Zealand in the opening match on February 19 in Karachi.
India's first match is scheduled against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai, while the highly anticipated clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India is set for February 23, also in Dubai.

As per ICC the event in Host nation will include an all-captains photoshoot and a press conference.
