Want a set of fiery comebacks up your sleeve to ward off unsolicited comments? You could do a lot worse than studying Komal Aziz's technique. The actor-turned-businesswoman, who has branched out into business by launching her clothing store, posted a series of Q&As on her Instagram Stories, using her typical no-holds-barred approach to whip out her answers.

"Why have you gained weight?" read one question in Urdu.

"Slowly turning into a seth [businessman] with a mota pait [fat stomach]" replied the Mohlat actor with a wink/laugh emoji. "Just kidding," she added. "Running a business is stressful. I end up stress-eating during difficult times."

In addition to her bare-faced honesty, Komal had one last witty line stored in her arsenal. "I don't smoke, so I end up eating to calm myself," she finished in Urdu.

One reason stress has been such a high point in Komal's life is that she recently had to move premises to keep running her business. "[What's the reason behind] shifting?" asked one commenter.

"Landlord was being over-smart," replied Komal. "Acting greedy, so I said bye." Showing a willingness to navigate around obstacles, Komal spoke up for all women who chase their ambitions. "A lot of weak men think that a woman running a business alone is exploitable," she noted. "Little do they know."

Whilst the majority of questions expressed admiration for Komal's latest venture, not every follower was complimentary – not that Komal was prepared to take unwarranted criticism lying down.

"Kindly reduce the price so any people can purchase it," read one seemingly miffed comment.

Komal's answer did not seek to assuage the commenter's feelings. "Kindly start working harder to make more money," she advised. "Maybe get a second job. Upskill herself." Defending her product, Komal added, "The clothes at [my store] are the most affordable, especially when we run sales."

Lesson learned: if you take a leaf out of Komal's book, a thick skin will be your best friend in any venture.
