Man killed, two injured in Chowk Sarwar explosion
An explosion occurred in the Chowk Sarwar Shaheed area when an axe struck buried explosive material during wood chopping, resulting in the death of one person and severe injuries to two others.
The incident took place in Mohalla Parhaar Munda Sharqi, a suburb of Chowk Sarwar Shaheed, formerly known as Chowk Munda, in Kot Addu, Punjab.
The Saddar Police Station was alerted to the explosion, prompting a swift response from local authorities. Upon arrival, officers found the mutilated body of Muhammad Sajid, who was killed by shrapnel from the blast.
Two others, identified as Muhammad Ramzan and Muhammad Ajmal, sustained serious injuries.
Eyewitnesses reported that the three men were chopping wood when one of the axes struck a concealed explosive object, leading to the fatal explosion.
