Lily Allen has reportedly checked into a trauma treatment center costing £8,000 per week after her recent split, feeling "triggered" by thoughts of her husband David Harbour being in New York with another woman.
The 39-year-old singer ended her relationship with the Stranger Things actor in December after discovering he had been using the celebrity dating app Raya.
Sources now reveal that she has struggled with staying in the city she once shared with David following their separation.
According to The Mail on Sunday, Lily’s mental health took a severe hit after she returned from her holiday to their marital home in New York last week.
A source shared, "It was very painful for Lily to return home. David used to be her savior, and now he's a trigger for her."
The insider continued, "Lily settled her kids back into the family home and took them to school for their new term, then flew herself straight to rehab. She went a day earlier than planned as she felt unstable and needed to get away."
The English singer relocated to Brooklyn with her daughters, Ethel, 11, and Marnie, 13, after marrying David in Las Vegas in 2020.
Previously, Lily had sold her dream home in the Cotswolds in 2016, a decision she later called "soul-destroying."
The £4.2 million countryside mansion had to be sold to cover a large tax bill after she was sued by her former tour manager.
At the time, Lily was married to her first husband, Sam Cooper. Last year, she expressed hope of buying back the home, saying on her podcast Miss Me?, "I had a beautiful house, which was my house of dreams in the countryside."
"I did it up so nice, and it was like my life project, I was very proud of it, it was the place where I was going to raise my children," she said.
Explaining why she sold it, she added, "It was absolutely soul-destroying, and a real lesson in life. You can think that you have everything all sorted out, and you just absolutely don't."
She also admitted, "You know a sad story, if that wasn't sad enough, is that every day I still check the housing market to see if that house has come back on sale. I'd love to have that house back."
