UFC 311: Broadcast team set, late fight change adds drama to Saturday night
The trio of Anik, Rogan, and Cormier have received praise for their on-screen chemistry.
The broadcast lineup for UFC 311, the highly anticipated UFC card this weekend, has been finalized alongside a last-minute update to the fight lineup.
The event, featuring two title fights, will take place on Saturday night at the Intuit Dome near Los Angeles, marking the UFC's first pay-per-view of 2025.
Jon Anik will handle play-by-play commentary, joined by UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier and comedian-podcaster Joe Rogan as color commentators. Cormier’s role gains added significance as he will call two title fights involving former teammates.
The broadcast team will also feature Megan Olivi as the in-arena reporter, with Din Thomas providing analysis during the fights.
UFC legends Chael Sonnen and Anthony Smith will anchor desk duties for pre- and post-fight coverage, hosted by ESPN veteran Brett Okamoto.
Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev defends his belt against Arman Tsarukyan in the main event. Makhachev is pursuing his fourth title defense, which would surpass Khabib Nurmagomedov’s record of three defenses in the division.
Umar Nurmagomedov challenges Merab Dvalishvili for the bantamweight title in the co-main event. The undefeated Nurmagomedov heads into the bout with a record of 18-0, while Dvalishvili looks to defend his bantamweight title for the very first time.
