Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has generated a stir with recent comments on corporate culture, politics, and controversial shifts in Meta’s content policies.

Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, Zuckerberg shared his thoughts on what he believes to be an essential element missing in many corporate environments—“masculine energy.”

The comments come amid significant policy changes at Meta, which have drawn widespread attention and criticism.

Zuckerberg discussed the corporate culture that he perceives as having “swung toward being this somewhat more neutered thing.” He stated, “Masculine energy, I think, is good,” arguing that traditionally masculine traits, such as aggression, have been underappreciated in corporate settings.

At the same time, he emphasized the importance of balancing masculine and feminine energy, asserting that both are vital for success in the workplace.

"I do think the corporate culture sort of had swung toward being this somewhat more neutered thing," Zuckerberg remarked. "You want women to be able to succeed and have companies that can unlock all the value from having great people no matter what their background or gender."

While Zuckerberg's comments on masculine energy sparked some debate, the conversation quickly shifted toward Meta's recent policy changes, which have been met with strong opposition.

The company has loosened its moderation rules, which now allow more criticism of marginalized groups such as immigrants, transgender individuals, and non-binary people. This policy shift also includes the end of third-party fact-checking services in the United States and a reduction in internal diversity training and hiring programs.

Critics argue that these changes could lead to increased hate speech and an overall less inclusive atmosphere within the company.

In addition to addressing corporate culture and policies, Zuckerberg also voiced frustration with the Biden administration. He claimed that the White House pressured Meta to remove posts that it considered harmful, including satirical content, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"It was brutal,” Zuckerberg said, expressing his displeasure at the government's stance. “The US government should be defending its companies, not be at the tip of the spear attacking its companies.”

The Meta CEO’s comments also revived discussions about his alignment with former President Donald Trump.

Zuckerberg has faced scrutiny for his perceived efforts to cater to conservative voices on the platform, including meeting with Trump and adjusting policies that critics see as beneficial to right-wing content.

Zuckerberg's comments about “masculine energy” and his tense relationship with the Biden administration come at a time when Meta is facing increasing public scrutiny.

As the company navigates internal challenges and external criticisms, Zuckerberg's appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience has ignited conversations about the future direction of Meta, the balance between corporate culture and inclusivity, and his political leanings.
