Man kills wife over domestic dispute

A man shot dead his wife over a domestic dispute in Baldia Town on Saturday. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Mehrunnisa wife of Muhammad Hussain. The body of the victim was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

The police have arrested Muhammad Hussain and recovered the weapons. The victim has a son and a daughter. The arrested husband works for a private company. Further investigation is in progress.

Meanwhile, a man was injured in the firing by unknown suspects over a suspected family dispute in Gulshan-e-Maymar.

The police were informed that some people had come to meet the victim identified as Muhammad Afzal, 40, at his house near Northern Bypass. While leaving, the suspects opened fire on Afzal. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

The police suspect the incident a result of some family dispute. The injured works as a salesman at a furniture shop and also drives a rickshaw. Police are investigating.
