Mandy Moore faced criticism after sharing a GoFundMe for her in-laws, who lost their home in the recent Los Angeles wildfires.

Despite her estimated $14 million net worth, the actress and singer defended her decision to share the fundraiser, which has raised over $158,000 toward its $175,000 goal.

In her post, Moore addressed the backlash, telling followers to "kindly F OFF" and emphasizing her intent to help. “People questioning whether we’re helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money Google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic,” Moore wrote. She clarified that her friend started the fundraiser and that she shared it because others asked how they could contribute.

The fundraiser supports Moore’s in-laws, who lost their home and are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. While many criticized the star for not fully funding the campaign herself, others rallied behind her.

“These comments are horrifying,” one supporter wrote. “Thank you for sharing what we can do to help!”

Moore revealed that her own Altadena home, shared with husband Taylor Goldsmith, was also heavily damaged and deemed unlivable. “We just lost most of our life in a fire too,” she added, highlighting the widespread devastation across the region.

Despite the backlash, many users encouraged compassion and understanding during the crisis, recognizing the scale of the losses.
