Exhibition brings village craft to big city

Minister for Energy, Planning, and Development, Nasir Hussain Shah, has dismissed rumours regarding change of the chief minister of Sindh. He was speaking to journalists at the inauguration of the 16th Sartiyoon Sang Crafts Exhibition in a local mall.

The four-day exhibition, organised by Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) in collaboration with the Government of Sindh and its partners, showcases the work of approximately 3,545 skilled women artisans from various districts of Sindh.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Nasir Shah praised SRSO's efforts to empower rural women and promote Sindh's rich cultural heritage. He emphasised the importance of supporting local artisans and craftsmen, saying that the government is committed to preserving and promoting Sindh's traditional crafts. These exhibitions not only promote Sindhi culture globally but also benefit around 1 to 1.2 million households across the province.
