Teen kills sister over petty dispute

A man shot dead his sister over a domestic dispute and unidentified assailants killed a rickshaw driver on in Faisalabad on Thursday.

In the first incident, Sana Sardar, a 15-year-old resident of 202 RB Gati, Izafi Abadi Farooqabad, in the jurisdiction of Millat Town Police Station, was shot by her 19-year-old brother, Ali Hasnain Sardar.

The siblings reportedly argued at home, leading to Ali Hasnain shooting his sister in the stomach. Sana was rushed to Allied Hospital but succumbed to her injuries after a prolonged struggle.

Millat Town police stated that the attack stemmed from suspicions about the victim's character.

Hasnain fled the scene and remains at large. Police have taken possession of the deceased's body for a post-mortem examination and initiated efforts to locate the accused.

In the second incident, 30-year-old rickshaw driver Yasir Abdul Sattar, a resident of the Satyana Police Station area, left his home with his rickshaw but did not return. His body was later discovered near Tuwana Bridge with gunshot wounds and his rickshaw was found nearby.

Satyana police have taken possession of the rickshaw and the deceased's body and have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the unknown assailants.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on either case to come forward as efforts continue to bring the perpetrators to justice.
